About Brass Finishes

Probably the most iconic use of this finish type is Polished Brass. It is found in Colonial style chandeliers as well as some exterior lighting, especially ones that are solid brass designed to be corrosion resistant for seaside applications. There is a range of other versions of this finish with Antique Brass being the most common. This recreates just what it says, a time worn metallic surface like what would be found in antique fixtures that are made of brass. Some manufacturers have their own variations, but they all contain those golden brassy hues that are warm and very traditional when used in lighting.
